You have to love the diversity of BNL fan tastes in music. Just goes to show that BNL fans are fans of music and not just cookie cutter pop fans.

Wow I didn''t even know they'd reformed.. Saw them at Wembly Arena (must have been just before xmas 1991).. Haven't listened to Pornograffitti in ages........ *wanders off to stereo*

Lou, Saudade Du Rock is highly recommended... funnily enough Pornograffitti is currently in the stereo. All together now...

An addition to my earlier posts.. Saw Mumford and Sons at the Hop Farm Festival back in July and they just completely stole it.. Their album is one of my top two from this year (no prizes for guessing the other one..). But live, that energy and talent that you can feel from the album, is magnified tenfold... If you have the chance, seeeeeee them.. Just fantastic..

Showing my age time, but I went to Live Aid at Wembley. 13th July 1985. And just watching clips on tv brings me out in goosebumps. I was an idealist at 18, really thought I could change the world. And here I am 25 years later, still thinking it. Queen were particularly good.

Later the same year I saw Sting at Newcastle City hall on his "Dream of the Blue Turtles" world tour. The generator blew up, the gig was cancelled, but he and his band came out and did two numbers accapella before sending us home. Absolutely superb.

Shame he's now so far up his own backside he can see the inside of his own nose.

Muse, supported by Coldplay(!) at the Portsmouth Pyramids ..... yeah this was back in May 2000.

Ben Folds - Southampton Guildhall

Gavin Degraw - London

Daft Punk - Rockness '08

also my guilty pleasure.. The Moffatts - Shepherds Bush Empire... back in 1999.

To be honest, most of the gigs I have been to have not disappointed! Although one did. That was The Ataris in London. They barely played for an hour. Bunch of emo losers :/

I went to the Good To Go tour in May 2007 at the Islington Academy in London. It was MC Lars, Wheatus, Army of Freshmen and Punchline, all bands I love. And it was amazing seeing Wheatus as the backing band for Lars. Such a good show!

TBH I haven't really been to that many non-bnl gigs.

I was at the Leeds festival a couple of years ago and the Killers closed and were almost as awesome as BNL. You don't get that "personal" touch when there are 70,000 people there.

I took the Mrs to see Pink earlier this year and it was so unbelievably rehearsed and choreographed that it became quite boring. I kid you not but they even rolled credits on the screens at the end of the "show".

best non BNL gigs I've been to were:

Gwen Stefani in Dublin (such an amazing atmosphere, everyone needs to go to a gig in Dublin!!!) oh and it helped that I literally bumped into her at the airport afterwards and actually nearly passed out with shock!!!

Killers at the O2 last year

Foo Fighters at Wembley Stadium

Linkin Park at Milton Keynes (awesome support acts - Jay Z, NERD, Enter Shikari)

and, don't give me shit for this, but Robbie Williams at Knebworth was amazing!! Although I was so excited when I got there that I didn't notice where I'd parked and then spent 2 hours looking for my car :(

There's loads more, but they're my faves!!
